Getting this integrated with our old systems was a headache. Things kept breaking, and it felt like every fix led to another issue. What made it worse was how hard it was to get any actual human help. It was mostly automated replies or generic support articles, which didn’t really solve anything. I just wanted to talk to a real person who could understand the setup and help us get it working.

"Good potential, but workflow setup felt clunky"
I tried using Kofax for workflow automation, and while I can see that it has some powerful features, getting started was a lot more frustrating than I expected. Even setting up fairly basic flows took longer than it should have, and the interface felt a bit outdated and not very intuitive. I ended up relying on support and searching around more than I’d like for simple tasks.
When it worked, it did help organize parts of our process, so I don’t want to say it was all bad. But it didn’t run as smoothly as we hoped, and some steps failed without giving very clear errors. Making changes later also felt more complicated than necessary. I can see it being a better fit for larger teams with dedicated admins, but for us it ended up slowing things down more than helping

"Expected better text capture from the OCR"
I was hoping the OCR would save me a lot of time, but the scans came out messy and missed too much text. I ended up having to go back and fix almost everything myself, which was disappointing

"Easy enough, but a bit clunky"
It’s fairly easy to figure out after you spend a little time with it, but it definitely feels clunky at first. I also wasn’t thrilled about having to wait in a queue, which made the whole experience feel slower than it needed to be

"Support took way too long to get back to me"
I ran into an issue with Kofax and reached out to support a few different times. The replies took forever, and when they finally did come in, they weren’t all that helpful. I mostly felt like I was just sitting around waiting with no real update, and that part was weird. Definitely frustrating when you actually need the software up and running...

"Kofax PDF conversion was more frustrating than I expected"
I used Kofax to convert and edit some PDF files, thinking it would save me time, but i kept wondering if I was doing something wrong. The editing felt clunky, and the conversion messed up the formatting in a few places. I expected a clean, usable file, but I ended up spending extra time fixing everything afterward. Maybe it works better for other people, but I probably wouldn't use it again.

Kofax works fine overall, but the pricing and licensing had me doing a little “give me a break” more than once. It feels like every small feature or extra thing needs its own license or add-on, and the costs stack up really fast. It also wasn’t super clear upfront what we actually needed, which made the whole process more annoying. For a smaller team like ours, I just don’t think the value is there. Support was okay, but the price makes it hard for me to recommend
